Discussion: Visualization Application Demand and Supply

Welcome to Visualization Workshop'09
Visualization is a broad research area encompassing techniques that assist in a broad range of scientific research and engineering activities. In this workshop, we will focus on visualization techniques that draw on aspects of interactive visualization and their applications. Papers are solicited that present original and unpublished research and practical applications in areas of visualization.
All regular submissions will undergo a rigorous review by the Program Committee. Papers accepted to the workshop will be appeared in Journal of Computer Science and Technology (JCST) and Journal of Computer-Aided Design & Computer Graphics after a second round review after the conference.
Submissions for the workshop 2009 must be made electronically through email: paper.visworkshop2009[at]gmail.com.
Papers may be up to 8 pages long and must be formatted according to the VGTC guidelines given at: http://www.cs.sfu.ca/~vis/Tasks/camera.html .
Please note that Workshop on Interactive Visualization and Applications 2009 uses a double blind reviewing approach, so please remove all personal data (like author, affiliation etc.) from your submission!

2009可视化应用研讨会 论文征集
2009年可视化应用研讨会(2009 Workshop on Visualization Applications) 定于4月23日星期四在北京大学与IEEE PacificVis 2009同期举行。可视化是一个广泛的研究领域，由此产生的可视化技术被大量应用在科学研究和工程实践中。本次研讨会的主要宗旨是促进可视化研究与应用的交流，推进相关研究的发展与进步。
本次研讨会的主题，主要涉及可视化交互技术及其应用。大会现征集这一方向的原创未发表论文，以及相关领域的成功的应用论文。所有正式提交的论文都会由研讨会委员会严格审阅。研讨会正式接受论文通过第二轮审阅后将由Journal of Computer Science and Technology (JCST) （SCI 检索）和计算机辅助设计与图形学学报 （EI 检索）发表。
