====== Treemap ====== |{{:project:treemapwithlabel.png?500|}} | {{:project:filesystem_.png?200|}} | | Treemap visualizing the performance of one NBA session | Treemap visualizing a filesystem | ====== Introduction ====== Treemap is a visualization method capable of showing hierarchical dataset very efficiently. The philosophy in Treemap is using space division and inherent space relationships to visualize logical hierarchies in data. In our lab, we are working on developing Treemap method to - Visualize time-variant data - Customize treemap to show high dimensional data - Extend Treemap to 3D space - Use Treemap to visualize multi-hierarchical data and network data Participants: - Xin Zhang (Student) - Prof. Xiaoru Yuan (Supervisor) ====== Images ====== | {{:project:cushion.png?250|}} {{:project:multi3d.png?250|}} {{:project:treemap3d.png?250|}} | | Different Treemap Variations | | {{:project:animation1.png?150|}}{{:project:animation2.png?150|}}{{:project:animation3.png?150|}}{{:project:animation4.png?150|}}{{:project:animation5.png?150|}} | | {{:project:animation6.png?150|}}{{:project:animation7.png?150|}}{{:project:animation8.png?150|}}{{:project:animation9.png?150|}}{{:project:animation10.png?150|}} | | Animation between different Treemap Layouts | | {{:project:treemapsection1.png?188|}}{{:project:treemapsection2.png?188|}}{{:project:treemapsection3.png?188|}}{{:project:treemapsection4.png?188|}} | | Animation with time-variant data |
